Site History: 2015 to Modern Stack
This site has been around the block in terms of changes and rewrites — from EC2 VMs to Docker containers in AWS Lightsail, and now Next.js.
I started my personal resume site way back in 2015, and had no idea what to put on it. Spoiler alert: I still don't! The hosting platform, though, has changed more times than I can remember:
01First iterationHosted on an AWS EC2 VM — NGINX serving the page, .NET Core for the API, Angular on the frontend.
02Containerised eraMoved to AWS Lightsail as a containerised Docker application stored in AWS ECR.
03Current eraRebuilt with modern Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS for instant rendering and sleek presentation.
The inspiration for the design and layout has always been the same: bringing clarity to 13+ years in software engineering and 20+ years in IT.
